to celebrate the release of the second volume of sugar ninjas, the howl gallery (located in fort myers, fl) invited me (“ana”) to curate an art exhibit showcasing selected works from over two dozen ninjas, as well as copies of both the sweet and spicy books.  the opening reception was a big success, partially due to the sugar ninjas making the cover of the entertainment section of the fort myers newspaper–whee! less than a week later, the sugar ninjas became the subject of an hour-long southwest florida npr radio show, (hosted by amy tardif) which featured  sugar ninja ladies vanessa “banky” farano and cayce moyer,  andy howl (a former student of mine and the co-owner of the howl gallery), and ME–double whee!
